Our Photographic Safaris Information

How do you capture the best possible image? This is a question frequently asked by many people. The short of it is by getting out in the field and taking photos. Learning what your cameras limitations are and understanding your subject, to anticipate what it would do next will greatly assist as well. By joining us on one of Apex Photographic Safaris fixed or private customised photographic Safaris, will increase your chances of capturing that “wow” photo you have been looking for.

Photographers of all skill levels are welcome to join us on any of our photographic safaris. We will even assist you in renting camera equipment from reputable suppliers should you not own your own equipment or even if you would like to test something else before making a purchase.

Our Safaris are kept to small groups with a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 6 people to provide you with all the assistance and personal care possible and providing you with enough space on the game drive vehicle for yourself and your equipment to ensure you have space to move around to get your shots.

Legend Big 5 Photographic Safari

Legend Hospitality’s Entabeni Conservancy is on 22 000ha, encompassing 5 ecozones, therefore offering you a variety of wildlife from Elephants to Shrews. This Big 5 Reserve is private and therefore we are allowed to traverse just about anywhere and even off-road to get you closer. Because Entabeni is so close to Johannesburg you will save on traveling time and have more time for Photography. Contact us for available dates.

Kruger Big 5 Photographic Safaris

These Photographic Safaris are Offered within Kruger National Park and the Greater Kruger National Park area. That is to say Private lodges and Reserves adjasent to Kruger National Park. Most importantly to remember is that we offer only private customised Photographic Safaris, therefore pricing can differ Significantly depending on what opion you choose. Big Cats Safari - Greater Kruger

In the persuit to find the best possible oppertunities to photograph Leopards, and most importantly to get real close and even follow them, one place stands out. The Sabi Sands. Above all the Sabi Sands is known for it’s Leopard Sightings. Therefore it is a mustfor those that want close up photos of Leopards. Madikwe Big 5 Photographic Safari

Our Madikwe Big 5 Photographic Safaris is a Guided (self-catering photographic safari). Our accommodation is a small Private lodge that has 3 Chalets accommodating 2 guests sharing. Rare Birds Photographic Safari

There is only a handful of places where you can see some of these rare birds. In some cases, it is in places that is incredibly hard to reach. With others it is places where you can wait up to a year to gain access. We endeavour to make all your arrangements to meet your requirements and to facilitate the best experience possible. Photographic Workshops

We are based in Pretoria, Gauteng. Therefore we are idealy situated to offer Full day Photographic Workshops at three unique locations in close proximity to Pretoria and Johannesburg. These workshops cover the basics of photography, and assist you in getting your camera settings right for wildlife Photography. We cover various topics and techniques as well as some tricks to help you improve your skillset.

4x4 Vehicle and Equipment Hire

Why hire? There are a lot of vehicles on the market to choose from when you want to purchase a 4×4. When you rent a vehicle, you can test it to ensure that it is the vehicle you want, before spending all the money to purchase a vehicle that you might regret buying.

Cameras and Lens Hire

Why hire? With so many good cameras on the market, DSLR and Mirrorless it is not easy to choose. Before you purchase the camera body or lenses at great expense, why not hire the combination that you might want to purchase and come along on one of our photographic safaris to test them?
